This site uses a Friendster / Classmates.com approach in order to bring together people who already have a lot in common. We love the idea of getting to know the other people in our apartment building in some context more organized then the usual mutual grumbling in the elevators, and we can envision lots of good uses to which a service like this might be put in the offline world. (And yes, better-coordinated grumbling is one of those purposes. Our landlord will be thrilled.) — HSS
